Beach

Paulus Park is a favorite gathering spot for locals and visitors alike, featuring picnic areas, playgrounds, an athletic field, and a beach. It’s also the site of Alpine Fest, a popular annual family event held in mid-July.

Swimming is offered at the beach between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Lifeguards are on duty from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Watercraft Access – Residents Only Lake Zurich residents can launch non-motorized boats at Paulus Park, including kayaks, canoes, paddle boats, windsurfers, row boats, and longboards. Boating violations are subject to fines.

Daily usage permits for non-power watercraft access cost $5 and can be purchased at the Barn during normal business hours, Mon-Fri, 8:30 am-4 pm, or at Paulus Park Beach during their listed hours of operation.

Playground

The playground at Paulus Park Lake Zurich IL offers a great place for kids to explore. A favorite of many, the playground features a sweet little “playhouse” structure for toddlers and nearby picnic tables with shade umbrellas where parents can keep an eye on their children.

Picnic Area

The “B” Picnic areas are the closest to the parking lot and restrooms, while the “D” picnic areas are situated in a grove of mature trees that receive filtered sunlight for most of the day.

These picnic areas can accommodate up to 120 people, and each comes with twelve 8-foot picnic tables. A small charcoal grill is provided as well.

Shelters

Paulus Park is a popular spot for city residents seeking an escape from the daily grind. It offers a lengthy bathing beach that draws walkers and joggers in search of a peaceful retreat.

The park also has barbecue areas, showers, and lockers to ensure the comfort of visitors. You can also enjoy a picnic under the shady trees or at one of the snack kiosks in the area.

The park also offers a variety of programs and events that encourage civic pride and community interaction. Some of these include signature events like Miracle on Main and the Springfest Parade.

Events

Located in the heart of Lake Zurich, Paulus Park has a variety of events and activities. These include Oktoberfest, a fishing derby, and an annual food festival.
